Hiking routes through Boí Valley
Walking through Boí Valley is much more than enjoying landscapes; it means walking through history, going back in time and reliving part of the lifestyle of our ancestors, at the time when cars were just a project of future and people had to walk very long distances in order to sell their livestock at the animal trade fair or to go courting.
The traditional paths are thus the paths that men and animals would take to go from one village to another. Recovering those paths means basically walking through them and enjoying the landscape, the surrounding fauna and flora, as well as the walls, borders and stone pavements made of dry masonry that were patiently erected and allow us to follow the steps of our ancestors a few centuries later.
