At the end of August, the Shepherd's Cheese Fair is held in Taüll (Boí Valley) with cheese and artisan products stalls.
The Taüll Shepherd's Cheese Fair is an event organised jointly by the Vall de Boí Town Council and the Association of Shepherds and Shepherdesses Cheesemakers of the Catalan Countries.
The aim of the Fair is to highlight and promote the artisan cheeses made in small cheese dairies, using milk from the same herd that is grazed in the area. To give recognition to this tradition and to value the work behind each cheese, a distinctive seal has been created to identify products that meet this characteristic.
During the event, there will be stalls of local artisans and agri-food companies, where visitors will have the opportunity to get to know and buy their products.
A highlight of the event will be the scheduled talks, where representatives of some of the participating cheese dairies will share their history, experience and the project behind their cheeses.
Don't miss it!
